Anne Hathaway; most of us know her only from a few movies, and it’s safe to say that for many men out there, the first and only time they ever saw her was in the third Christopher Nolan-directed Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises (you know, the one where Batman fights the masked villain Bane). In that movie, Anne plays a morally conflicted Catwoman who meets, betrays, and then saves Batman (spoiler alert), and while she didn’t have the most screen time in that flick, she did have one particular scene on the Bat-bike which I’m sure is still vividly embedded in the minds of everyone who saw that movie (I’m not gonna spoil that scene for you, you can Google it for yourself). But aside from being Catwoman, one of the most interesting facts about Anne Hathaway is that she became famous overnight.

• She went from starring in an obscure TV show to being the main character of Princess Diaries only a year later
• Her performance in Devil Wears Prada was top-notch
• She didn’t seem like she would’ve made a good Catwoman, but in Dark Knight Rises, she proved everyone wrong
